Devin Booker Is Legendary

Devin Booker is officially a made man. I think Shannon Sharp on Undisputed said it best he beat your favorite players, favorite player. Ya that’s right he took out the King, and this is a feat not many have achieved in his 18 year career. This made me sit back and look at Booker’s career,he’s been one of the guys people have underrated the most, and now that he’s showing people what he knew about himself all along, and that’s that he can’t and will not be stopped. Let me talk about this mans incredible game 1 against the Clippers without CP3, he did something not many could do and once again defied the odds and went out and scored 40pts 13rb and 11 ast. Can we be serious and actually talk about not only this blazing hot playoff run, but how this whole season Booker has been showing us that he’s always been here, but now people are seeing that he has arrived to one of the top guys in the league on the biggest stage. And his self confidence was steady after the numerous all star snubs, and even the no consideration for mvp, he could have talked his talk and people still would sleep on him, but he stayed quite. I guess the saying action speaks louder than words is true cause my guy is proving people wrong. I remember listening to on of my favorite basketball podcast Through The wire, people really where saying that Booker was just a stat padder on a losing team which I couldn’t believe watching him all this time with my own eyes. Some eyes even better than mine the legend himself may he rest in piece Kobe Bryant saw this as well. He took Booker under his wing because Kobe saw his Mentality he knew Booker had the Mamba in him like he the late Kobe Bryant had as well. Booker even has a tat of Kobe telling him to be Legendary which I’m sure will be a memory the lives on in Booker forever , hearing such words from your idol who wants to see you succeed and develop as a player, you cant thank of to many things that would make an NBA player happier or at least I believe . And now carrying that mindset,Booker is tasked to play another game without CP3 and the question is what will he do? Will he rise to the occasion once again? Will he shrink and be the Twitter warriors chew toy? I believe we will go out there Game 2 and show that he is poised and focused on his goal, and that my friends is to win a championship. We shall see.

The Playoffs No One Expected

It is currently June 18th,2021. At this point in time in the East, the Atlanta Hawks are up 3-2 against the Philadelphia 76ers, The Milwaukee buck are tied 3-3 with the Brooklyn Nets. In the West, The Clippers are up 3-2 against the Utah Jazz and the Phoenix suns are already in the WCF. Now if I told you all this at the beginning of the regular season that these would be the last teams left competing for a championship other than the Brooklyn Net you might laugh right in my face, granted I would do the same to any other person who told me this. The Atlanta Hawks, were a team with great talent but finished the 2019-2020 regular season 20-47, which was one of the worse in the league, but I believe management saw something in this team and

In Trae Young and with a couple more pieces knew they could take their franchise to the next level. So they did and went out and got guys like Bogdan Bogdanovic and Danilo Gallinari, and drafted guys like Okngwu who have been a major pieces to this team. As well as making the right coaching move in making Nate McMillan after all these pieces were made I saw them making the playoffs, but a first round exit at best. Clearly one game away from making it to the ECF they’ve exceed what I , the world and maybe even their own expectations. This is a really great accomplishment for Atlanta win or lose, but now with the expectations the questions will be was it a fluke?, can you do it again? For now we don’t no what the future holds but the Atlanta Hawks and all their fans should be excited for the now and worry about the later when it happens. The next team I want to talk about is the Suns, who have also exceeded expectations tremendously. From the offseason signing Jae Crowder the 4 point play master, the Irritant pest who will guard your best player and won’t blink an eye and we all know Chris Paul, which has to be thought of one of the best offseason moves in hindsight. The man who made a team who wanted to get better, better. A man who took a 34-29 10th seed to a 51-21 2nd seed with a chance to make his first Finals appearance with 4 more wins, but before I give him anymore credit I have to talk about The Suns and how much they’ve beat the odds. The belief and momentum they’ve had in themselves since going 8 -0 in the Bubble as be amazing. Which in larger part was due to coach Montay Willams who put that belief in his young team, he was the potential of each one of his players and it has been clear this year they’ve been unlocked and now think the sky is the limit. To beat a Lakers team regardless of injury when no one thought they had a chance myself included is a feat not many teams could’ve done but they did. Devin Booker who as emerged as a star along with Antoy who’ve played major roles in their wins, didn’t care if they had to face one of the greatest if not the greatest of our generation Lebron James they were ready for the challenge. And accomplished it and to sweep a team with the the mvp just adds to the list. I know I’ve said a lot about them but I’m interested in seeing how far they can go and if this year is the year CP3 gets his first ring. Now onto the Jazz who had the best record in the regular season. The only thing was that no one believed in the Jazz even though they made this accomplishment, people just thought they were the little bros of the league who had overachieved, being down 3-2 to the Clippers will put that to the test and we’ll see if they can rally as a team behind Mitchell like they’ve done all season and go out and win 2 more games. I’m curious to see myself if they can pull this off or will everyone will be right about them. Finally we have the Clippers who have shocked the world. After all the memes and the 3-1 meltdown against the Nuggets, no one thought the Clippers would be where they are now not even me, but the Clippers have shown everyone they are no longer the same team. Kawhi even though he is injured and at this time we don’t no if he will return to play or not, has been beyond great especially in the Game 6 vs the Mavericks which was a masterpiece. Even Paul George going through all his adversity, has proven he really is Playoff P and when he wants to can be unstoppable without question, and for one of the most important piece which I have said over and over is the coach and his name is Ty Lou. He has remained balanced and has never given up on his team no matter the odds. He’s sees the game and makes the right adjustments during and after games that work. Win or lose he’s there for his team and I think they can feel that for sure. Oh and I forget about the 76ers who finished first in the east. They are down 3-2 and it’s not looking good every time I hear something it’s about Ben Simmons. Should he have a jump shot going into his 5 year, the answer is probably yes, should he make at least 60% from the free throw I mean also yes but we can’t just blame everything on Ben Simmons. Tobias and Embid are also at fault, going into the fourth quarter of game 5 it is unacceptable to lose a lead the big. I know guys get tired and things happen but if you want to win you have to fight, you have to push through and be that team you’ve been the whole season and to score 14 points vs there 40 should make the whole organization feel embarrassed. I hope Doc can change something for this team may that be lighting a fire underneath or making some lineup changes or adjustments I don’t know anymore to be honest, all I no is tonight is win or go home and if you are who you’ve been this whole season there should be no reason to lose.
